Wondering...
I looked at Austin and wondering… Since I was accepted by Gallaudet but I have to wait for a room to be available so we can go to Gallaudet. We are still on waiting list. Deaf parents with a deaf child will come first. When I requested for a room first since I have a hearing child, Deaf parents with a deaf child requested 2 months after I requested, they will get a room first because they have a deaf child. I know the deaf parents with a deaf child are blessed but I have a hearing child that is blessed too. I feel like Gallaudet is discriminating me for not have a deaf child. I was wondering if Austin is deaf, will I get a room right away. It is not fair because I can't decide to have a deaf child! If God wants me to have a deaf child, it's great! But God didn't want me to have a deaf child (yet). I don't know why Gallaudet wants deaf parents with deaf children first!

Wow! Could you appeal and ask them to reconsider this? Your comment is point & blank. I don't understand that myself. Ummm... keep us posted!
Wow! I had NO idea that was an issue!!! I will pray that y'all get a cozy home on campus on time. God is always good, and his timing is always perfect. Keep on trustin'! Hugs!
Sound like a favoritism... Sad, eh?
But God's perfect and know your needs.
I wonder about apartment elsewhere too. I'm on benefit, can pay rent but the application require the proof of job. eh??
I wonder about it too. That make all unemployees homeless.
Sad, yup!
But.. I need to remember.. God's perfect and his timing.
Smile! Jeremiah 29:11
Hey, just thought that I would let you know that the Kendall Apartments preffer Deaf parents with Deaf children to get in first because of school for the kids - they need more Deaf children enroll in Kendall Elementary; that is the reason. I've heard a rumor that there might be a new building, an apartment complex with more rooms and with that more families can qualify to live there. Unfortunately I know, it is hard for a family with Deaf children to get in but there are plenty of good apartments off campus in Maryland, its not too far from DC.
Good Luck.
