Moving in... 2

We went to our new house, unpacking small stuff because we don't have enough boxes to pack so have to unpack then bring boxes back and pack more from old home. Our new home is so hot! Our new Landlord put a new A/C unit last May and its not working. Werid... Because it was working when Landlord's daugther was living there. She turned off when she left. We came in and turned it on and nothing air comes out! Poor Austin, he was hot! We are trying to keep him cool by portable fan. Austin can't stay there longer. It was hard for me to unpack small stuff because of Austin. If A/C is working, Austin could play and sleep in his playpen. I REALLY need to unpack most small stuff before Friday and Saturday! ugh! Avey Jane will take care of Austin on Sunday so I could focus on cleaning at old home before I give the keys back to Landlord. I hope we will finsih with our stuff before 1st of July!

Moving in...

We got a house key from our new Landlord this afternoon! So we are packing small things and bring to a new house and unpack them. Because the house is less a mile from here (old home) This Friday and Saturday, we will bring big stuff such as couch, shelves, dinner table, and etc. Andy's father will help us out. His father have a truck and will rent a trailer. We are excited to move in but I am scared to leave here (my old home) We had been here for one and half years. My old home was our longest residence ever. I feel like I want to stay here but I think a new home is the best for Austin because new home have one floor and less problem with A/C.

Standing

Austin started to stand up for one minute this morning! Of course, he stood up with my help. Look at the picture of Austin's standing! We are so proud of him!

Teething

Austin is teething! He put EVERYTHING in his mouth and tried to bite them! I put Austin's teething toys in the freezer so he could put his cold toys in his mouth to help him to feel relieved BUT he wants any soda cans and put it in his mouth! I think soda cans have perfect temperature for him to feel relieved.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Andy is a wonderful father! He did a good job as a father for Austin! Andy changed his diapers, feeding, playing, and taking care of him. Austin has different medications, its very hard for us to keep it up but Andy did VERY well to check Austin's stats, check his weight, and give him the medications. I made a t- shirt for Andy, it says "Best Dad!" and Austin's footprints is on it. Also, Andy got a card from Austin, with his hand outlined on it. SO CUTE! Andy loves it! Andy, Austin said HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DAD!

Swimming

We went to The Easterlings, swam in their pubic pool. Austin had fun with Avey Jane, Elaine, Phil, Jason, and Talor. Avey Jane bought Austin swimming diapers but they are too big for him. only 16 lbs and up. He is about 13lbs. But He has a swim shorts that can hold his swimming diaper and it works! He got a little sunburn... I missed some spots that I put him sunscreen lotion but the sunburns didn't bother Austin at all. (whew) He was worn out, he slept in my car all the way to home from the Easterlings'!

Loves to listen my mommy's book stories!

Today was the first time for me to show and tell stories to Austin from the books. He likes to look at the pictures and I showed him some signs of animals and Good night with Blue (dog). A book about a speical bear, he doesn't like it. I think this book don't have colorful pictures and might not make him intrested. I hope someday, he will be a bookworm, haha!

Austin sucked his foot. Is he cute?! *Finally, I took a picture of him sucking his foot! I tried to take picture of hin sucking his feet few times, I missed it!

Love my mirror!

Austin was not interested when I bought this mirror few weeks ago until this morning, he loves to look at himself at the mirror! he played all the morning and worn him out, haha! Austin looked at me thourgh this mirror. He found me!

Not yet settled...

Andy's comment:
We were planning to move elsewhere to get a job and settle down. But, we have decided it was the best for all of us to stay in Montevallo for a while. Austin's health is much better. I will enroll in the graduate program for a masters in secondary ed. Oh boy, I never thought I would do it so soon until now. The application's sent and its in God's hands now to see if I'm accepted or not. We are getting another place in Montevallo because we really need more breathing space, compared to the short triplex we live in haha. Pray for us continually. God bless yall.

Visting our family

We went to Athens, Al to visit our family yesterday. We haven't seen them since last April. Our family were happy to see us, especially Austin! At first, we stopped by my brother, Lonnie's work to pick him up during his lunch break. Lonnie had old grease (black dirty) all over of his face and hands!Of course, Lonnie didn't hold Austin because I don't want Austin to get dirty, haha! It was good to see him, Last time I saw Lonnie was last November while I was pregnant with Austin. After we dropped Lonnie off at his work. we went to Austin's Nana (my aunt Betty, who raised me) home and he saw his Nana, Uncle Tim, Michelle, and Jennifer. Betty hold him and played with him. Austin likes his Nana! He took a nap on the floor in the living room. It was a little hot in aunt betty's so he slept without swaddle! (he MUST sleep with swaddle!) I was surprise that he slept without swaddle! It was good to see them yesterday! I hope we will see them again soon! Next week, We will visit our family in Phenix City, Al and Columbus, Ga. Oh boy! So busy this month!

Sitting up and eating...

Sitting up! He is trying to sit up by himself but he still haven't sit up without my help but I am looking foward for him to sit up without my help! :o)


Eating! He ate his cereal! Last night, it was first time him to eat cereal, he took it from a spoon with no problem! Smile.. He likes rice cereal! He would upset if I didn't feed him faster!

Few days ago, he found his own ears! He's kept playing with his ears since now. So cute!!

Austin just turned 5 months old. I can't believe that he grew fast! I feel like he was born yestesday and now he's already 5 months old! He is learning how to sit up. He found his own ears and sucks his feet! He loves to have our attention!
